Like many of the best car insurance companies, Arbella offers a wide range of flexible coverage options.

The company is known as a leading provider of comprehensive car insurance in New England, and its products range from state minimum liability to gap insurance and more.

Arbella’s car insurance policies include the following protections:

  • Bodily injury and property damage liability. You’re covered for bodily injuries or property damage to others.

  • Physical damage coverage. Damage to your car resulting from accidents, theft, or vandalism is covered.

Arbella’s independent agents work with you to find the best coverage.

Arbella Car Insurance Add-On Coverages

Besides standard coverage, Arbella provides a wide range of additional protections for your vehicle. Some riders available include:

  • Disappearing deductible rewards plus. With this endorsement, you receive rewards for accident-free years. You can earn $100 off your deductible for every year you are accident-free, up to $500.
  • Auto loan/lease GAP endorsement. After a total loss, this rider protects you by covering the difference between your car’s actual cash value (ACV) and what you still owe to your lender.
  • Accident forgiveness. Qualifying customers can add this rider to their plan. It waives surcharge points after an accident.
  • Pet protection. This rider pays up to $500 in vet bills if your pet is injured in a car accident.
  • Customer care package. This package is automatically included in qualifying Arbella auto insurance plans. It provides plan enhancements such as new vehicle replacement coverage.
  • Personal property package. This rider protects personal items in your car. Belongings such as PDAs, laptops, and car seats are covered.
  • Snowplow endorsement. You can receive up to $200 for damage to a snowplow installed on a covered vehicle.
  • Original equipment manufacturer parts (OEM). You can add this rider if your vehicle qualifies. It pays for damaged property to be replaced with original parts when available.

Add-on coverage varies depending on your state. Bundling your home and auto plans with Arbella might save you up to 20%.

Arbella Home Insurance

Arbella’s home insurance options span many categories. Arbella offers protection for your home and investments, including homeowners, renters, condo, and landlord insurance.

Homeowners Insurance

The best homeowners insurance plans feature customizable coverage options. Arbella’s homeowners insurance is flexible and includes many added benefits.

An Arbella homeowners policy covers your house against fire, lightning, windstorms, hail, frozen pipes, theft, and more. The plan protects you from personal liability for bodily injury to others, including protection for damage caused by your pets.

You can customize your homeowners policy by adding the following coverage:

  • Home systems protection. This program covers repairs or replacements of home systems, such as air conditioning units or furnaces.
  • Cyber protection. This program is available to homeowners, condo owners, and renters. It protects you from extortion, online fraud, breaches of personal information, and cyberbullying.

Additionally, you can enhance your coverage with add-ons such as reimbursement for expenses related to identity fraud, personal injury coverage, and personal property replacement cost coverage.

Renters Insurance

Arbella’s renters insurance is an affordable way to protect your belongings.

Arbella renters insurance covers:

  • Medical expenses for others. Your renters insurance covers the costs if someone is injured in your home by your pet or your negligence.
  • Liability coverage. This protects you from lawsuits resulting from your negligence.
  • Improvements and betterment. Your plan may cover upgrades to the apartment, such as wallpaper, flooring, and cabinets.
  • Additional expenses. Your policy will pay for temporary living expenses if your apartment is unusable due to a covered loss.

You can combine your renters and auto coverage through Arbella’s Carpartment program. Bundling your coverage can result in renters insurance payments as low as three dollars a week.

Condo Insurance

Arbella’s condo insurance protects your home from fire, theft, or vandalism, covering permanent fixtures such as walls, ceilings, and countertops.

Condo insurance with Arbella includes the following coverage options:

  • Personal property. Your belongings — such as clothing, furniture, and electronics — are protected under this policy.
  • Liability. Your policy will protect you if your negligence or pet causes another person’s injury or property damage.
  • Medical payments to others. This pays for injuries you or your pet cause to another person.
  • Additional expenses. Your policy will pay for temporary living expenses if your condo is unusable due to a covered loss.

You also have access to a condo owner discount. Signing up gives you 7% off your first year of coverage. Renewing your policy qualifies you for 3.5% off your second year, and bundling condo and auto insurance can save 20%.

Landlord Insurance

You might benefit from Arbella’s landlord insurance if you own a rental property.

Landlord policies cover dwelling and attached structures, dwelling contents owned by you, tenant relocation expenses, bodily injury and property damage, medical payments, and a fair rental value if the property is uninhabitable after a loss.

What other insurance products does Arbella offer?

Arbella Insurance provides several other types of insurance coverage. Additional coverage types include:

  • Umbrella liability. Umbrella insurance is supplemental coverage that protects you from losses not covered by your primary plan.
  • Business insurance. Arbella offers an expansive selection of commercial coverage including car and truck, workers compensation, and inland marine insurance.
  • Motorcycle insurance. Arbella’s motorcycle coverage protects your bike from various losses, including accidents, theft, and vandalism.

Arbella Insurance Ratings and Reviews

As you continue your search for an insurance company, don’t forget to check the financial ratings and customer reviews. These are two of the most important sources of information about a company. They tell us about the company’s credibility and financial strength.

Arbella Insurance Financial Ratings

Financial ratings are impartial appraisals of an insurer’s ability to meet its obligations.

Arbella Mutual Insurance Company has an A (excellent) rating with A.M. Best, one of the nation’s most trusted financial reviewers. Its economic outlook is classified as stable.

Arbella Customer Reviews

Customer reviews are equally important. They show us how the company treats its patrons and whether it honors its commitments.

Arbella is accredited by the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and has an A+ rating. However, reviews with BBB are generally negative. The company has 1.13/5 stars based on eight customer reviews.

With Clearsurance, reviews are more favorable. The company has an average rating of 4.03/5 stars based on 137 customer submissions.

On both sites, negative reviews cite poor customer service and claims issues. However, many positive submissions praise the company for quality products and helpful agents.

Arbella Insurance in a Nutshell

Arbella’s products range from home and auto protection to renters and landlord insurance. The services are flexible, and you can customize your policy with various add-ons and discounts.

A.M. Best positively rates the company. Customer reviews, however, are mixed. While several patrons complain of poor service and issues with claims, many others praise the company for valuable products and friendly agents.

Overall, if you can look past the mixed reviews, Arbella might be an excellent choice. The wide range of services and flexibility make this company an attractive option for consumers across New England.

Remember, before you decide, do your homework. Comparing companies and products is the best way to find the right insurance plan for you and your family.
